A few weekends ago I had the best time visiting the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC. During our visit there I couldn't help but notice all of the different things that were going on around us. On one part of the island they were having dragon boat races, and on the other side they were having what appeared to be a craft market. Not to mention all of the delicious smells that were coming our way as we ventured on. In the air you could smell Thai food, Mexican, and especially those homemade delicious waffles that were guiding us right to them.
This was just the start of it. As we continued to walk and explore the city we saw street performers, people fishing off their boats, more people touring the city by horse and buggy. This city was so full of life. I couldn't help but feel engaged just by being amongst it all. As our time went on we were able to try new things ourselves like boat taxies; called pickles, feeding seals down at Fisherman's Wharf, and new local cuisine.
In the end Andy and I left this city and island feeling totally reenergized and inspired. I loved that where ever I looked I saw people doing what gave them joy, no matter their stage or size of the audience. Some were carving objects while lounging under an umbrella, others were a part of a team working toward their finish line, while others were singing and sharing their talents loud and proud on the streets to offer entertainment to the people walking by.
So I ask you;
What brings you JOY?
What is something that you are passionate about that you can add into your EVERYDAY?
How do you reenergize yourself?
BIG DREAMS are accomplished when you act upon your passions daily!
Thank you for being you,
